Rebecca Donnelly Professional Art Therapist, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), RN, BScN

Sometimes our feelings and experiences are too big for words, or we struggle to talk about them. With art therapy, you have the opportunity to explore and express your emotions and experiences with or without words. You don’t need experience, and you don’t need to be good at art. Actually, art therapy can often be an opportunity to recognize and quiet that critical voice that we all have! All that you need is willingness to explore how creativity can support your growth and healing.

Life can be challenging, and sometimes we need a supportive space to reflect, heal, and grow. I value creating a space where you feel safe, and know that there is no judgement. Being human can be hard, and all of the good, the bad, the neat, and the messy are welcome here.

I believe in the transformative power of art as a tool for healing and self-discovery. My goal as a compassionate art therapist is to support you in processing difficult emotions, while also empowering you to discover new strengths, develop coping strategies, and improve your overall well-being. I am dedicated to supporting you on this journey.

Specific areas of interest: Anxiety, Boundary issues, Childhood emotional regulation, Adolescent identity and self-esteem, Burnout, Healthcare worker mental health.

When I am out of the office, I focus my time on my family, which is made up of my partner and two children. My children are 14 and 20 years old, and so my favorite way to spend time with them these days is sitting around and talking about their days, lives, and dreams. I also am passionate about yoga, and enjoy any way to be out in nature. And, of course, I enjoy making art, watercolor painting being a current favorite!
